Our last trip in the big red van and Vinnie dropped us off in Ashland. Of course before she went she took us through the beautiful Lithia Park and loaned us coats to stop bits of us from freezing and dropping off. What is up with this weather??? Bye Bye Vinnie, we all think you're great.
Greg my second host picked us up and earned a special place in my heart by suggesting an afternoon of sightseeing and shopping! I did show incredible restraint and only bought an Ethopian Coptic Cross(something I have been coveting for years.)
Ashland is very much more cosmopolitan than Scott Valley, with Johnny Depp reguarly visiting the artsy and creative shops and cultural venues (that got Liesl all hot and bothered). The shops were very boutiquey but we were able to buy a pair of great running shoes for Liesls' birthday, which involved some interesting shots of her being measured and fitted.
Then we were off to another welcome party with Ken our Medford/Ashland GSE chair where we had fantastic hamburgers and hotdogs and met all our wonderful Medford/Ashland Rotary family. (Sam, Kingsley and Dianne get a special mention here).
